New site design for Noosa Steiner Pengari School

In mid 2010 I decided that I couldn’t allow my kids’ school to keep struggling with an inadequate online presence. The website had such crippling usability issues, that it was seriously impacting public perception.

In my experience, most school websites are poorly designed. A common reason is that they’re often produced by a well-meaning volunteer who, even if they have professional skills, often donate their time to getting the site up and running. This scenario often backfires for everyone involved: the web developer ends up rushing the job and the school ends up dissatisfied with the end product.

We made it onto the ECOS cover

Velella on Ecos Magazine CoverAs part of an article about Noosa Biosphere we were invited by CLMC (the Noosa Biosphere communication agency) to contribute images. The ECOS team liked it so much, they asked for our Velella Velellas to be their July cover stars.

ECOS is regarded as one of Australia’s most authoritative magazines on sustainability, published since 1974 by Australia’s national scientific research agency, CSIRO.
