For: Noosa Biosphere
The purpose of UNESCO's 'Man and the Biosphere' program is to promote learning laboratories for sustainable living. PunkLogic were appointed by Noosa Biosphere Ltd in 2009 after a three stage public tender process to find a digital agency. As part of our challenge we
- created a comprehensive web presence from scratch in 5 months to meet a high profile launch date
- engaged a wide range of diverse stakeholder groups in developing the scope and prototype
- engaged the broader community to provide rich, relevant content in time for the launch of the site
- advised the client on the best way to manage media issues online
- provided content forms for ongoing content sourcing from the whole community
- educated enlisted bloggers and content contributors
- administrated the influx of data and content for the site
- developed supportive profiles across the social media landscape
- worked with external copywriters and media communications consultants to ensure coordinated effort
- sourced images and movies from local creatives
The short term objectives for the site have been exceeded. Here’s a brief summary of results to date:
- Google Rating
The site quickly out-performed unofficial sites with similar content in all the major search engines. Within 4 months of launch, Google gave the site a page rank of 5. - Visits
Unique visits to the site increased month on month: Oct-09 378 visits to April-10 3703 visits. - Subscriptions
Within the first 6 months, 500 people had subscribed to newsletter updates.
PunkLogic work on a retained basis for Noosa Biosphere Ltd, regularly volunteering additional hours to ensure the site continues to progress its aims and develop compelling content from a cross section of the community.
